Mexico's main import and export is manufactured goods, but agriculture, fuels and mining, and other factors make up 23% of the county's imports and 25% of its exports. Manufactured goods make up the other 77 and 75 percent. The United States currently provides over 50% of the imported goods going into Mexico, its other main supplier being China. In return, Mexico supplies the States with 57% of our fresh fruits. Because Mexico is very near the equator it is a great spot for growing tropical fruits we cannot grow enough of inside the States. Lastly, the United States is by far Mexico's biggest importing country, providing the country with nearly 80% of its fresh water supply because they cannot create it themselves.
Mexico's military is ranked 31st overall on the Global Fire Power index (GFP scale). There are 265,000 active front-line personnel with 75,000 in reserves. Mexico operates without the use of any missile launchers or tanks, but consists of many towered artillery systems. The navy is based mainly around coastal defense, with 66 crafts in the water all the time. The country however is only in possession of 2 destroyers and owns no aircraft carriers or submarines. Mexico's air-force consists of only 6 fighters, however there are many helicopters, but none are combat equipped. In conclusion, Mexico is built for planned attacks on land, not by sea or air.
The natural resources of Mexico include petroleum, silver, copper, gold, lead, zinc, natural gas and timber. In addition to this, Mexico produces tons of the world's corn, sugarcane, sorghum, wheat, tomatoes, bananas, oranges, lemons, limes, mangoes, other tropical fruits, beans, barley, avocados, chili peppers, blue agave and coffee. This seems like enough to keep everyone in the country fed well enough, but with such a huge population and so much of this being exported to places like the United States, not enough of it stays with the people, it is all shipped off for money.
There is no official religion of Mexico because the constitution declares religion to be kept separate from state. However, over 90% of the Mexican population practices Roman Catholicism or is at least some what affiliated with that specific religion. Five percent is Protestant, and less than five percent of the population practices any other religion. However, in Mexico they celebrate a few extra holidays pertaining to religion, especially with Cinco de Mayo, or The Day of The Dead. In the United States we only copy what they have bee doing traditionally for many many years.
